What is a metadata ?

Metadata is data that offer insights into other data, essentially providing information about various aspects of data, such as its context, content, and structure.

It serves as an underlying description that gives users or systems relevant details about the nature and characteristics of the data they are handling.

For instance, in the context of an event, metadata might include information about the location, the date and time, the weather… This additional layer of information enhances the usability, management, and organization of data, making it easier to search, retrieve, and sort.

In a broader sense, metadata facilitates the effective categorization and processing of data across the Heex Cloud.

What is a recording ?

A recording, in this context, refers to a digital document or file that is initiated and created as a response to a specific event. It captures and preserves the data associated with the event’s occurrence. A recorder is in charge of providing the filepath to a recording or a directory of recordings. This filepath is then used by Heex Agents to upload the data on the Heex Cloud.
